Which bird meets the APA or ABA Standard of Perfection?

The Poultry Judging event is an opportunity for you to test what you have learned with real life experience as a "Junior Judge" - just the way our judges do for Exhibition events.  For this event an experienced breeder donates 4 birds of the same breed and color for you to examine & compare.  Using what you have learned about confirmation (how a bird is to look & stand) and breed standards, you have the chance to compare each bird and decide who should get first, second, and third place on a scorecard.   MJC student judges will compare all the entries and decide who made the best choice as "junior judge" and give awards for 1st through 4th place in each age category: 5-8yrs, 9-11yrs, 12-13yrs, and 14-18yrs.

If you have not registered to participate in showmanship or exhibition, you will need to register when you arrive to receive your Exhibitor's # for participating in the poster, photo, knowledge quiz, poultry judging, or obstacle course events. Each child will need their own Exhibitor's #.
